Lifemark is helping athletes shine at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Thunder Bay 2020

Toronto, ON February 28, 2020 – Lifemark Health Group is pleased to announce that as part of its national partnership with Special Olympics Canada, Lifemark clinicians will be providing services such as pre-event tapings and massage therapy to keep athletes in top form at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Thunder Bay 2020. This important event is taking place from February 25th to the 29th in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The Lifemark Health Group team on site is composed of Lifemark clinicians Ian Winningham (Physiotherapist at Lifemark Physiotherapy King East), Julie Pelletier (Physical Rehabilitation Therapist at Clinique Physiotherapie Universelle - Vanier) and Angela Stancato (Registered Massage Therapist at Lifemark Physiotherapy King East), who will be joining forces in the Athlete Treatment Area to provide services to athletes in both English and French.

The Winter Games are Special Olympics Canada's signature sport competition and function as a qualifier for the Special Olympics World Games. This year’s Games will see 845 athletes from 12 Provincial or Territorial Chapters participating in sports that include alpine skiing, 5-pin bowling, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, floor hockey, snowshoeing and speed skating.
